Glass floors are made with laminated glasses. Normal specification is 10mm toughened glass +1.52mm pvb lamination +10mm toughened glasses. Normal size of the glass floor recommend is 900×900 minimum to 2400x 1200. Width can be up to 1500mm maximum. If more than this we have to develop a support system for the floor. Which can be done either using MS sections or Stainless Steel sections. Recommended Section size is 50mm x 50mm or 75mmx 75mm
We can also do the glass floors using 12mm Toughened Glass + 1.52mm PVB Laminated and 12mm Toughened Glass . This make a total thickness of 26mm and glass can be very heavy and we can almost do the floor size of 8 x 6 feet with this glass combination. But a center support with a wooden log is highly recommend. Ref. (Image 123.44)

You can note that a wooden log is given in the center of glass as an additional support. This will improve the glass stability.
